All of the soap we make is handmade in small batches, known as the cold-processed method. Our soap is only made with 100% vegetable oils. Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut oil, and Palm oil are used as a base. Olive oil is an excellent moisturizer, Coconut oil gives a rich lather and Palm oil ensures the soap hardens. Additional oils and natural substances, such as Sweet Almond oil, Avocado oil, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, natural loofah exfoliates and dried herbs are added to furnish that something extra! The Essential oils provide fragrance and Rittenhouse Candle & Soap products do not contain any animal or dairy products. The entire process from start to finish is done by hand....from mixing the ingredients to wrapping the finished bars. As the soaps are cut and trimmed by hand slight variations can occur - which adds to the charm! Each bar of soap is cured for at least 6 weeks and the final result is a mild, gentle soap.
